Pot.Shirley Jones (Lc.Lorraine Shirai x Pot.Frank Gilmore) C & H 2010
Pot. Shirley Jonesは、2010年に、Carter & Holmesで登録されました。親のLc.Lorraine Shiraiは、登録が1952年で古い品種ですが、黄色系の銘親として有名で、今までに89品種を生み出しています。 非常にフラットに咲き、C.dowinaの血が濃い品種ですが、しっかりとした形の花を咲かせます。
Pot. Frank Gilmoreも、Carter & Holmes 社で1992年に作出、登録された黄色系の銘親です。
写真の花は、10年くらい前にCarter & Homes社から輸入した実生株です。花径11ｃｍ位であまり大きくはないのですが、フラットな展開とペタル廻りのオレンジがおしゃれな雰囲気で、お気に入りの一つです。
多分兄弟株ではもっと素晴らしいものも出ているのではないかと想像しおります。Pot. Shirley Jonesを育てている方が、いらっしゃいましたら是非メールをいただければ幸いです。
Pot.Shirley Jones was registered by U.S. distinguished orchid firm Carter & Holmes in 2010. One of Pot. Shirley Jones parent is Lc.Lorraine Shirai which was registered in 1952. Though the registration was more than 60 years ago, Lc. Lorraine Shirai is very famous for fine yellow flower maker. Up to now 89 grex are produced from Lc.Lorraine Shirai.
Pot. Frank Gilmore was registered by Carter & Holmes in 1992 and also a good mother plant.
This pictured clone was selected from imported seedlings from Carter & Holmes. This is one of our favorites for its flatness and orange shade on petal. I think there are many good clone of Pot.Shirley Jones. It is highly appreciated if you tell us your Pot.Shirley Jones .
